COMPETITIONS AND PROGRAMS

Wildfire Basketball

All basketball competitions and development programs at the stadium are run by Wildfire Basketball, the competition arm of the Camden Valley Basketball Association, a not-for-profit community association endorsed by Basketball NSW.

Wildfire Basketball

Wildfire runs junior and senior competitions and development programs here through the week, including:

Learn to Play (ages 8 to 14). A beginner program introducing basketball fundamentals in a fun environment.

Performance training (ages 12 to 18). Skill development, basketball IQ and fitness.

School holiday camps (ages 5 to 18). All skill levels.

Academies and clinics. Age-grouped sessions focused on skill development.

Special Olympics Macarthur

Special Olympics Macarthur runs inclusive sport programs for people with intellectual disability or autism, for all ages and skill levels, as part of Special Olympics Australia.

Basketball. Fridays, 6 to 7pm, during school term, at Oran Park Leisure Centre.

Training schedules, event calendars and athlete registrations are always up to date on the Special Olympics Macarthur website.

Basketball FAQs

Do I need to be a member to play ?

No. Club and program registration, including with Wildfire Basketball and Special Olympics Macarthur, is separate from centre membership. Courts can also be hired casually by anyone.

How do I join a competition or program ?

Wildfire Basketball handles registration for competitions and development programs. Special Olympics Macarthur handles registration for their inclusive sport program. Both have current seasons, age groups and fees on their own websites.

Where do I find fixtures and results ?

Wildfire Basketball publishes fixtures, game times and ladders through its own site and platforms. Special Olympics Macarthur's training calendar is on their website.

What should I bring ?

Non-marking court shoes and a water bottle. Balls can be hired at reception for $2.50.

Can I book a casual game or shoot around ?

Yes. Casual court hire is $6.60 per person per hour, with ball hire available for $2.50. Call us to book, or check live court availability online. Competition nights book out the courts.

What does Special Olympics Macarthur offer here ?

Special Olympics Macarthur runs inclusive basketball for people with intellectual disability or autism, Fridays 6 to 7pm during school term, open to all ages and skill levels. Training schedules and registration are on the Special Olympics Macarthur website.
